O'Shea Residence
This impressive kitchen was designed with a French Country theme in mind. The angled cabinetry softens the entry into the room while allowing more natural light to penetrate into the kitchen. The U shaped island creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Because the kitchen is open to other rooms, ensuring a consistent design theme was equally important.
The raised panel MDF doors and cabinetry in butternut with brown glaze finish are complimented nicely by the granite countertops and the ceramic tile flooring. The darker island and brown ceramic tile backsplash create a dramatic contrast to the lighter colours. The striking stainless steel appliances, staggered uppers and furniture toe kick style add nicely to the overall look of this kitchen.
The large island features cherry cabinetry finished in a Chambord stain. It is the focal point of the kitchen and eases the transition into the open concept living and dining room. It features granite countertops, a wine rack, and houses the dishwasher and a double sink. These details make the island both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
