Diotte Residence
This Zen-like kitchen’s strength lies in the less is more approach. The homeowner had hoped to achieve a tranquil, minimalist feel in her new kitchen. This was achieved by employing the simplicity of basic shapes and clean horizontal lines inspired by the look of bamboo and the purity of white quartz Zodiac counter tops.
The design challenge was coming up with a way to incorporate everything that was needed and wanted in this small kitchen (including walk thru areas). It incorporates a double door Fisher & Paykel fridge (recessed into the wall to feel less encumbering) and double dish drawer and AEG induction cook top over a Dacor wall oven and Chimney hood.
The faucet, when not in use, acts as a piece of whimsy on the simple rectangular island. There is stainless kick throughout most of this custom kitchen including the island.
The cook top/ Range hood wall features mini-mosaic glass tile which adds punch, texture and added impact to that wall without overwhelming the eye.
The pantry area features stainless steel flip up doors with listral glass and aluminum feet to lighten up the feel and continue the theme of simple, clean lines.
